PINTO X MEHDI DAKHLI - Sting Armchair
Born from the meeting of Fahad Hariri’s vision for Pinto and Mehdi Dakhli’s biomorphic world, the Sting armchair takes its cue from the anatomy of the wasp. Its backrest, upholstered in ivory chenille, opens out like a pair of spread wings beneath a teardrop headrest, while the sculpted American walnut frame holds it like a protective exoskeleton.
The walnut armrests grow out of the body of the chair like organic extensions. The generous, rounded seat, dressed in a dark Maison Lelièvre fabric, rests on slender tapered legs. Warm wood and soft upholstery, sculptural precision and enveloping volumes answer one another from every angle: a piece conceived as a presence in the room, somewhere between sculpture and furniture.
Materials: sculpted American walnut frame and armrests, Maison Lelièvre fabric seat, Pinto × Nobilis chenille backrest.
