PINTO X MARCEL WANDERS - One Minute Delft Black Vase No. 6

On this vase, a broad black stain opens across the shoulder, like ink bursting on contact with the earthenware. Around it, fragments, flecks and small touches scatter freely over the body, while the almost white neck keeps only a few light traces. The base is ringed in black.

For this piece, Marcel Wanders followed the four rules of One Minute Delft: no sketches, no corrections, no repetition, one uninterrupted minute. At Fahad Hariri’s invitation, the historic Delft blue gives way to the black of the PINTO universe. Made by Royal Delft, the manufactory founded in 1653, the vase is unique and signed.
