PINTO X MARCEL WANDERS - One Minute Delft Black Vase No. 12

On this vase, two kinds of writing answer each other. On one side, black dabs run down the ribs in tight columns; on the other, a few rounded blots float freely on the white of the shoulder. The neck is spattered with black and the base wears a broad dark ring.

With One Minute Delft Black, Marcel Wanders carries the blue and white vocabulary of Delft into the chromatic universe of PINTO. The white provides the silence; the black records the movement. Fired several times at up to 1,160 °C at Royal Delft, this unique, signed piece holds the memory of one minute of creation.
