PINTO X MARCEL WANDERS - One Minute Delft Black Vase No. 11

On this vase, the brush seems to have danced. Large curving, almost calligraphic strokes sweep across the shoulder and cross on one side, before the movement tightens into vertical drips towards the foot. The neck is boldly marked in black, as if it were the starting point of the gesture.

What drew Fahad Hariri to this collaboration was the sensuality of the gesture: the intimate relationship between hand and material. Here every curve keeps the speed and energy of the movement that drew it. Made by Royal Delft in high-fired earthenware, the vase is a unique piece, signed by Marcel Wanders.
