On this vase, the gesture takes on an almost musical cadence. Regular black dabs line up in columns along every rib, like a vertical weave wrapping the whole baluster form. The neck, reworked in black, and the base, underlined with a dark stroke, frame this tight rhythm.

No sketches, no corrections, no repetition: the apparent regularity of the decoration is born, in fact, from a single minute of spontaneous creation. Shaped and finished in Delft by Royal Delft, then hand painted by Marcel Wanders for PINTO, this vase keeps the exact trace of the hand beneath its glossy glaze.
